RapModels: How did you get your start as the "Mixtape Queen"?

 Tehmeena Afzal: I used to rap and when I was looking to get my tracks featured on mixtapes I realized that it would cost me an arm and a leg to get my music featured on these mixtapes so I decided to start a mixtape website and help get DJs mixes into the hands of people across the world and putting money into their pockets.  In return I earned the support of many DJs with my music and eventually the music turned into modeling and being featured on mixtape covers.  I was all over the mixtape scene as a business person, artist, and model so thats why I was known as the Mixtape Queen.

 RM: I've read that you have a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. With all of your success do you still manage to work in the Graphic Design field? 

 TA: It's very hard for me work in the Graphic Design field because of everything I am doing now.  I do whatever I can for myself in graphic design but thats the extent of it.  I do have a full time job as a car saleswoman so that is what I dedicate most of my time to.

 RM: Can you take us through a typical day on the set of a photoshoot?

 TA: Photoshoots are so fun,  I get there and the stylist picks out my wardrobe and accessories, then I get my hair done, then the makeup!  I usually shoot each look for about 20-30 minutes.  I'll eat lunch and get back at it again.  It is tiring but it is so fun!  I get to get all dolled up and catered to all day long!  I wish everyday was a photoshoot day!

 RM: Do you have any favorite photographers and why?

 TA: My favorite photographer would have to be my good friend Felix Natal Jr.  He is the first photographer that I shot with that actually helped me grow into what I am today.  He taught me alot in my first shoot with him and made me feel super comfortable. Not only did I find a good photographer when I shot with him but I also found a friend for life!  Make sure you check out his work at www.FelixNatalJr.com.

 RM: Have you spent alot of time traveling with your modeling career and where has been your favorite place?

 TA: My favorite place to go was Beverly Hills for my shoot for Show Magazine.  It was definitly the most beautiful location I've ever shot at, and the staff at Show were all so professional. I loved every bit of that shoot!

 RM: What is the worst part of all of the attention that you get?

 TA: There is nothing bad about it.  I love attention!  I've been in the spotlight since highschool when I was an all-star softball player so for me theres nothing bad about the attention I recieve.

 RM: It seems like you've met quite a few celebrities since the days of your Mixtape website. Has there been any one person who left you awestruck when you met them?

 TA: I haven't met anyone yet thats left me awestruck, but I've been obsessed with Leonardo DiCaprio since is was 9 years old so if I ever met him I think I would die on the spot!

 RM: What's your biggest pet peeve?

 TA: I can't stand liars!  Even if its the smallest little lie and you get caught, It's a wrap, I will never trust you again.

 RM: What kind of response have you gotten from others of your culture about your modeling?

 TA: It's a very mixed response.  I've had some people go to the extent of telling me im going to burn in hell because God does not intend women of my culture to present themselves the way that I do, and I've have people praise me for not being scared to be who I am and that I am an inspiration to women of my culture to follow thier dream.

 RM: What can we look forward to from Tehmeena in 2010?
